Koordinationsstelle Nachtkultur Hannover/ Night Governance Office Hanover
Seit Oktober 2023 gibt es in Hannover die Koordinationsstelle Nachtkultur.
Zentrale Themen sind ein lebendiges, sicheres, inklusives, nachhaltiges Nachtleben und die Nachtkultur mit ihrem Potenzial als Standort- und Wirtschaftsfaktor. Dabei nimmt die Arbeit der Koordinationsstelle verschiedene Blickwinkel ein: die, der Kulturschaffenden Menschen, die Blickwinkel der Menschen, die Nachtkultur möglich machen, die Blickwinkel der Besuchenden und Unterstützenden.
Davon ausgehend ist die Koordinationsstelle mit zwei Menschen besetzt. Daniel Karger ist angestellt bei der Landeshauptstadt Hannover, Kristin Wolter beim Klubnetz e. V. Beide zusammen bilden eine zentrale Anlaufstelle für alle Belange der Nachtkultur.
Zentrales Gremium der Koordinationsstelle Nachtkultur ist der Nachtrat.
The Night Governance Office has been in existence in Hanover since October 2023.
The central themes are a lively, safe, inclusive, sustainable nightlife and night culture with its potential as a location and economic factor. The work of the coordination centre takes on different perspectives: the perspectives of the people who create culture, the perspectives of the people who make night culture possible, the perspectives of visitors and supporters.
On this basis, the Night Governance Office is staffed by two people. Daniel Karger is employed by the City of Hanover, Kristin Wolter by Klubnetz e. V. Together they form a central point of contact for all matters relating to night culture.
The central committee of the Night Governance Office is the Night Council.

Daniel Karger (Stadt Hannover, Kulturbüro) (English version below)
Hi! Ich bin Daniel, 1997 geboren und seit meiner Jugend im hannoverschen Nachtleben aktiv. Als Veranstalter, DJ, Barkeeper und Gast sammelte ich vielfältige Erfahrungen in der Szene. Ich absolvierte eine Ausbildung zum Veranstaltungskaufmann und konnte dort, neben der Arbeit an Großveranstaltungen, viel aus dem Kommunikationsbereich lernen. Zusammen mit meinen besten Freund*innen entstand 2019 der Kulturhafen e. V., in dem ich seitdem aktiv mitwirke. Als Produzent & DJ war ich auch überregional unterwegs und konnte so Einblicke in das Nachtleben außerhalb Hannovers gewinnen.
Im Laufe der Jahre habe ich nach diversen Kooperationen mit der Stadt Hannover für mich entschlossen, den Weg Richtung Stadtverwaltung zu gehen. Ich absolvierte eine Qualifizierung zum Verwaltungsfachwirt und konnte dadurch viel über Verwaltungsstrukturen und Rechtsgrundlagen lernen. Diese besondere Kombination bildet die Grundlage für meine Schnittstellenarbeit im Kulturbüro.
Hi, I’m Daniel! I was born in 1997 and I have been active in Hanover’s nightlife scene since I was a teenager. As an organizer, DJ, bartender and guest, I gained a lot of experience in the scene. I completed an apprenticeship as an event manager and was able to learn a lot about the communication sector in addition to working at major events. In 2019, Together with my best friends we founded an Open-Air Club / Cultural venue called Kulturhafen. As a producer & DJ, I also traveled nationwide and was able to gain insights into the nightlife outside of Hanover.
Over the years, after various collaborations with the city of Hanover, I decided to go in the direction of city administration. I completed a qualification in public administration and was thus able to learn a lot about administrative structures and legal principles. This special combination forms the basis for my work in the Cultural Office.
